From single, twin and double rooms to suites, all rooms within the hotel complex are of good quality, so you can expect high standards of furnishings and en-suite facilities throughout, whatever you choose.
There are 10 ‘Superior’ rooms contained within the original hotel building – all recently refurbished to a ‘deluxe’ finish and 27 ‘Standard’ rooms in the hotel annex – all providing that added measure of space, comfort and privacy.
10 en-suite Bedrooms have been recently refurbished to a good four-star standard. In keeping with the age of the building these traditional rooms are characterized by their spatial appeal with cornicing, deep carpets and a rich colour decor.
Mirrored built-in wardrobes provide plenty of hanging space. And, traditional oak furnishings further enhance their presentation. En-suite facilities are tiled throughout and feature large contemporary walk-in shower units with matching tile surrounds and soakboard finish.
All rooms/suites are named after championship golf courses – St Andrews, Troon, Turnberry, Carnoustie, Muirfield, Rosemount (on the first floor) – and famous single malt whiskies – Aberfeldy, Glenmorangie, Edradour, Tomatin, Deanston (on the second floor) – names which are synonymous with Scotland, its heritage and its tradition.
Full breakfast is included in all room rates. Breakfast is served from 7:30am until 9:30am during the week and from 8:00am to 10:00am on the weekend.
Dinner and high tea can be taken in either “The Glens Restaurant” or bar meals in the hotel lounge bar.
The Royal Hotel offers 27 bedrooms which are situated in the hotel annex block (linked to the main building). All rooms are en-suite and are well furnished in a contemporary style, using classic creams and beiges both in the bedroom and shower room.
There’s a choice of rooms to suit your accommodation needs –
providing all the necessary facilities/amenities for a comfortable, refreshing and relaxing stay.
All rooms in our ‘Standard’ range feature:-

You can expect a very flexible approach to your room requirements. Fluffy towels, toiletries and extra bedding as standard. We can arrange anything for you in your room, by prior request, from a lovely bottle of rose or sparkling champagne to enjoy on arrival, to chocolates and fresh flowers for the romantics.
We are happy to allocate families next door to each other if possible or use connecting rooms when available. Cots are available on request.
